photos of C47 crews for dday show service shoes and leggings being worn. no need for RAF boots at all for that.

Location: Hereford / RAF Lyneham
Excellent stuff so my 41 Ptn Mae West, Observers Harness, chest pack and parachute bag all have double uses now :lol: M1 pot will probs live its life in the parachute bag anyway with other flight luxuries (thermos and sandwiches :lol:)

Boots will be which ever pair I grab first :lol:
